This week has been full of memories. It is hard to believe that one year ago, we were anxiously awaiting Chloe's arrival in a government building in Zhengzhou, China. Such an enormous change has taken place in our littlest one's life over the last year. She has grown 5 inches, gained five pounds, learned a new language, learned to run, jump, somersault, and how to conquer any playground you take her to. She is the most joyous child, bringing smiles to everyone around her. She has managed to wrap the bakery lady at our local grocery store around her finger, receiving two cookies at every visit. We never go far without people stopping to talk to her, or to comment on how cute (and small) she is.

We celebrated the anniversary of gotcha day yesterday by visiting our local zoo. They are hosting Zoominations - a Chinese lantern festival. Chloe loved it and could be heard saying "My China!" as she ran haphazardly from one display to the next. It was a great way to celebrate our family growing to six one year ago today. We have been so blessed to watch Chloe grow this year. Adoption changes lives - so glad we took the leap in faith. The journey was long, and difficult, but so so worth it.
